Bonnie Bennett Appreciation Week Day 4: Favorite Relationship

While thinking about this, I couldn’t help but keep coming back to this relationship. While Jeremy did cheat on Bonnie (and if you ask me that was some contrived BS on JP’s part because God forbid if she ever lets Bonnie have one thing), this is still legitimately one of the best relationships in the entire show and the only one that hasn’t gone to complete and total crap. And I don’t even mean their romantic relationship because as far as we know that’s over and knowing Julie Plec, it’s not coming back. But, I mean it in the way that they care so much for each other.

Jeremy is basically the only one left who refuses to push Bonnie beyond her physical limits. He actually stands up to Klaus and anyone else who tries to force her to do so. And you can see how he’s always so concerned for her and how he’s always relieved when he finds out that she’s okay. He’s honestly torn when it comes to Bonnie and Elena because as much as he wants to save Elena, he doesn’t think that Bonnie should die for it to happen. In the season 4 premiere he’s okay with Elena being a vampire because the alternative is Bonnie killing herself to prevent it and to him that’s just not worth it…they can always try to find another way and if it doesn’t work, Elena will still be around. It’s just not worth the risk of Bonnie dying for good. Then, when Bonnie is forced to watch those spirits torture Grams even though everything she’s done has been to save people, he just holds her. He doesn’t even know what happened, but he knows that it was bad and that she needs someone, so he just holds her.

And Bonnie—You can see how much she cares for Jeremy. Like Jeremy, she worries when he puts himself in danger and then you see the pure and utter relief when she finds that he’s safe. She defied the spirits and brought him back to life no matter the consequences. Even after he cheated on her, she still cares for him immensely  And you can see just how comfortable she is when she’s around him.

Honestly, I there’s so many wonderful moments between them that show all this, that I was only able to include a small fraction in this little photo set.

I truly believe that they are one of the best relationships in this show if not the best, romantic or not.
